Have you ever wanted to try Working Equitation or learn more about this exciting and rapidly growing sport? Join us for a fun, educational, and inspiring day at Willow Draw’s beautiful covered arena in Weatherford, Texas.

​

Whether you are completely new to Working Equitation, looking to improve your obstacle skills, or simply interested in expanding your horsemanship, this clinic is designed for riders of all levels. Participants will learn how to confidently approach and navigate obstacles while gaining a better understanding of the relationship between Working Equitation and classical dressage. The sport rewards harmony, communication, and partnership between horse and rider, making it a valuable learning experience for riders from many disciplines.

The day will include obstacle instruction, demonstrations, and guided practice designed to help both horse and rider gain confidence and understanding. Riders will have the opportunity to see how obstacles are introduced and trained, while spectators will enjoy educational discussions and demonstrations throughout the day.

 

Featured clinicians include:

Doreen Atkinson, a Qualified Master Level rider and one of the first American WAWE judges.
Pati Pierucci, FEI Dressage trainer, Master Level Working Equitation rider, and international competitor.

The clinic will conclude with an exciting speed demonstration by Pati and her Master horse, showcasing the athleticism, precision, and fun that make Working Equitation so captivating.

 

This special event is also a fundraiser to support Pati’s international competition efforts as First Alternate for the U.S. Working Equitation Team at the Working Equitation World Championships in Spain this September. In addition, an online auction will be held, offering participants and supporters another way to contribute.

 

The cost of the clinic is $160/ride, and rides will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so get your registration in early for this exciting clinic!  Stabling is available Friday night ($100 for Fri/Sat stall), and Saturday day stalls are also available ($50).  Private dressage lessons may be available if time permits ($150/ride).  A limited number of trailer hook-ups are also available at Willow Draw ($50/night). Auditors are also welcome ($35)!
